Torquay Bowling Club has been a very popular host to many, many Touring sides over the years. We can accommodate up to eight Rinks on our Outdoor Green. During the winter months we operate two Short Mats and welcome touring sides.

In May 2012 the Club  celebrated its 125th anniversary as a bowling club with a visit from a strong Bowls England team.  The bowling green at Belgrave Road has been the mecca for bowlers for just over 100 years. Every year we play around 40 Touring teams.

The Club is located close to Torquay seafront and to Torre Abbey Park, and is adjacent to many of the leading hotels in the area. It has a fully licensed bar with a well appointed clubhouse.

The Bowling Club was founded in 1889 and in May 2012 celebrated 100 years of bowling on the Belgrave Road green.

We have two teams in the men’s Mid Devon League, two teams in the South Devon Ladies League, two teams in the South Devon Over 55s Triples League and not surprisingly two teams in the Riviera Mixed Triples League.

Whether experienced or beginners, new members are most welcome to apply to join our Club.
