Don’t click on the links or attachments in suspicious emails, and never respond to unsolicited messages and calls that ask for your personal or financial details.

Coronavirus Latest (Last updated 29 May 18:35)
Here is a copy of a letter being sent to all members concerning the opening of the green on Monday 8th June
I have been elected by the Committee to act as Bowls Co-ordinator concerning All things Bowls affecting Torquay Bowls Club during the Coronavirus outbreak.
To such end I would like to put to you both my, and the Committees position.
The club has received from Bowls England a 6 page document titled ‘Covid19 Supplementary Guidance for Lawn Bowls Clubs’,which in turn is approved by the Governments ‘Department of Culture,Media, and Sport’, (DCMS) dated 14th May 2020.
This Guidance explains in detail that which has been agreed between these two parties, and therefore by definition now becomes our new Bible, albeit temporarily, but nevertheless something we must work with, and adhere to.
All Parties are aware that the Physical and Mental Wellbeing of the Bowls Community in general is of paramount importance, however any resumption of Bowling must be carried out in complete safety, and in full accordance with all Government advice and guidelines.
As a result your Committee has agreed the following.

Thank you all so very much, without the Green we have no club!
Since we last posted a Committee meeting report,we have, with the help of Bowls England-,who pointed us in the right direction-,received a Grant from the Government via Torbay Council to assist us with the large amount of ongoing fixed costs that we are obliged to pay, even when we have no income from any angle. For which we are most grateful.
There is no need to set out here the value of our outgoings, suffice to say that they are are quite substantial.
Finally,we wish to advise all our members that the 2020 subscriptions monies you have paid, including the Bowls England and Devon levies, will be rolled over into the 2021 season.
There will be no charges made for any and all Covid19 Roll ups.
Our thoughts and actions have always been to ensure that you have a fully operating club to return to when this disgusting virus is put down, and with your ongoing support and input, we will all be seeing each other again sooner rather than later.
Sincere thanks to each and every one of you for your patience, understanding support and also for just being you.
Very Best Regards,Look after yourselves and Stay Safe.
We will leave the above communication on this page until these arrangements are up and running. It will then be moved to the Members Area
The Coasters do the double
After winning the Torbay Short Mat League Cup on Saturday 29th February at the Derwent, the Coasters, a team of current and former club members have gone on to win the Torbay Short Mat League. Well done to you all.
Congratulations to Ella
We all know that Ella Crouch had a very good summer. Well, she continues to do well indoors this winter. She is through to the final of the Devon County Under 21 Singles which were due to be played at the County Finals Day in Axminster on Sunday 19th April. Not surprisingly County Finals Day has fallen victim to Coronavirus and Finals Day will be rearranged when possible.
For 2020 the club’s charity is Devon Air Ambulance. There will be plenty of opportunities to donate to this great cause throughout the year.
