you should have paid your annual subs by Saturday 29th February
News flash: We now have free wi-fi in the club house. Don’t be shy, it’s there to be used by members and guests.
Have you seen it?
To try and entice potential new members through the gate a new noticeboard has been put up by the car park entrance. It will detail forthcoming events as well as inviting passers by to come in and see what we have to offer. So if you see someone is tempted, invite them in. Like all other clubs we need new members.
Well done the Coasters
You may be wondering who are the Coasters. Well they are one of the teams in the Torbay Short Mat League made up of current and former members of the club, being; Hazel Addey, Stuart Glover, Di Hardwell, Alan Hewitt, Eric Leason, Christina Ross, Penny Shannon, Ray Scott, June Skennerton, John Trueman, last but not least Bob and Joan Wigginton . Having come out top in the preliminary league they are through to the semi finals of the Short Mat League Cup competition. On Saturday 29th February they will be competing against a team from Babbacombe and two teams from Paignton at the Dewent Hotel, commencing 10:30 am. Good Luck all.
Congratulations to Ella
We all know that Ella Crouch had a very good summer. Well, she continues to do well indoors this winter. She is through to the final of the Devon County Under 21 Singles which will be played at the County Finals Day in Axminster on Sunday 19th April.
An Evening of Magic
The Social Committee have arranged an Evening of Magic for Saturday 22nd February, cost £10. The list of names attending is growing fast so if you want to go, get down to the clubhouse as soon as you can and add your name.
Club Champions 2019
We have our champions for another year and its congratulations to Val Davis and Geoff Gay, our Singles Champions for 2019.

For 2020 the club’s charity is Devon Air Ambulance. There will be plenty of opportunities to donate to this great cause throughout the year.

Items for sale
From time to time the club has surplus items which we would like to dispose of. These can be found on the For Sale page. For club members an area has been set aside on the notice boards for you to advertise bowls clothing and equipment both wanted and for sale.
We are co-hosts of the annual English Riviera Open Bowls Tournament. In 2018 it will be held between 17th and 24th June. Full details from the tournament web-site

One of our members is a qualified signer for the deaf. If you are visiting us on a tour or interested in joining our club, are deaf and would appreciate the support of a signer, please get in touch with us in advance of your visit.
