Welcome to Torquay Bowling Club

For men only

The wooden lockers in the men’s room are going to be replaced this winter. If you have one please empty it by the end of the outdoor season (last match 23 September) and leave it unlocked. The club will not be held responsible for any items that are lost should you fail to empty your locker.

Even More Congratulations

Not only have our ladies SDLBL B team secured promotion for the third successive season, they are promoted as champions for the third successive year winning all 12 games.

Our team in the Over 55’s V division have won and now go forward to the Over 55’s Finals. These will be held at Starcross on Wednesday 12th September, with the semi-fanals starting at 10 am.

Our Ladies triumphed in the SDLBL 4-3-2-1 Final against Newton Abbot at Victoria.

League Tables

We now have the final league tables for all of our competitive teams. Last updated 13th September , see them here. It’s bad news for the MDL B team who slip to third and miss out on promotion after the very last game of the season between Kinsbridge and Victoria. Congratulations to Victoria on winning Division 3.

Everyone enjoyed the game with yesterdays tourists, Ledbury, and Captain Norman's after match speach. Commiserations to their highest losing rink for being given disguises to get back into the hotel. https://t.co/FH5VCYJDip TorquayBowls photo

Blackwood tourists came like all Welsh sides, to win, but their dragon couldn't save one rink from defeat. Another very enjoyable afternoon with excellent company. https://t.co/lmdObBmQ9M TorquayBowls photo

Great afternoon against the Warwickshire VPs on their tour. Not very good hosts winning on all six rinks. As their captain said, they had one rink that almost drew, only going down by 3 shots.

Club Charity

This year’s charity is the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust who are raising money to plant 3000 trees at Churston Woods. Many of the trees there had to be culled after a tree infection was detected last year.
