Welcome to Torquay Bowling Club

Well Done Ella

Congratulations to Ella Crouch on winning the Devon County Under 25 Ladies 4 Wood competition at Kings on Saturday 22nd May. Ella played Emma Cooper in the final and ran out the winner 21-19. The photo shows Ella receiving her trophy from Ladies County President Christine Marshall. Don’t forget to look out for Ella at Leamington later in the year.

And More Success

Congratulations to Ella Crouch and Natalie Heath who on Sunday 13th June ran out the winners of the Section 6 Ladies Major County Pairs. This puts them in the last 16 for the County. They will be taking on a pair from Plympton on a neutral green on 12th July. Good luck girls.

It’s Not Just the Ladies Enjoying Success

Congratulations to Tim Lock, Geoff Gay and Gerry Coffield for winning the Section 6 Group A Mens Major Triples which puts them in the last 16  in the County. The next 3 rounds for Group B are scheduled to be played at Culm Vale on Saturday 17th July.

It keeps on getting better. The above three plus Tony Crispin have won through to the Mens Major Fours Group A finals day. The final 3 rounds are scheduled to be played at Madeira on 31st July. Well done and good luck to all of you.

Getting back to normal

The green is open and we are getting back to normal. Obviously we will be complying with and keeping up to date the Covid rules until all restrictions are removed. Please remember, for roll-ups you need to book a rink using the Rink Diary in the Clubhouse.

The draws have been made for all the Club competitions and have been posted on the notice boards.

The Riviera Tournament will be going ahead as planned, from Sunday 20th to Saturday 26th June.

The Committee keep on working and the minutes of their latest meeting on 8 June are available in the Members  Area.

The 2021 Fixture List

The 2021 Fixture List has been updated (29 May 2021) and can be viewed here. Because the fixtures keep changing, hopefully not many more times, for reasons beyond our control it has been decided not to issue members with a fixture book in 2021. Copies of the fixtures will be on display in the Club House as well as here on the web site.

Club Charity

For 2021 the club’s charity remains Devon Air Ambulance. There will be plenty of opportunities to donate to this great cause throughout the year.

More content will be added so keep coming back to see what is on offer.
