Torquay Bowling Club Triples Competition 2026

The Open Triples returns for its second year, bringing together 24 teams for a full day of fast paced competition. Last year’s event attracted clubs from across the region and beyond, with 'Bowls Deep' from Saltash taking home the title. This year promises the same great atmosphere, strong competition and a brilliant day for players and spectators alike.

How the Competition Works

• 28th June 2026

• 24 teams, split into two blocks of 12.

• Staggered start times: one block begins at 9am, the other at 10am.

• Round‑robin format: each team plays five games, each lasting 6 ends or maximum of 1 hour.

• One hour on, one hour off throughout the day.

• Scoring: points awarded for a win and a draw, with shot difference used to determine group winners.

• Knockout stage: the four group winners progress straight to the semi‑finals, followed by the final.

• A two course lunch is provided for playing teams

• First Prize - £600

• Second £150

• Third £90

• Fourth £30

Cost of entry

• £45 per team

• Competition is limited to 24 teams.

Entry is by an official entry form only, which must be requested directly from the organiser. Please request a form via the button below

• A team’s place is confirmed once the form is returned and payment is received.

• Reserve teams may also be accepted.
