Winter Short Mat

Torquay Bowling Club proudly enters four leagues during the Summer season, offering members a wide range of competitive opportunities.

Whether you're a seasoned bowler or just starting to explore match play, there's a place for you to shine.

With so many chances to take part, bowlers who want to test their skills, represent their club, and enjoy the thrill of league play will find Torquay Bowling Club the perfect home for competitive bowls.

The Torquay Bowling Club short mat season is played during the winter months and is a very busy one.

The Club operates two short mat rinks and enters three teams in the league with matches played on Monday evenings and on some Tuesday evenings.

An internal Club Pairs league takes place on Wednesday afternoons and the Club Triples league on Wednesday evenings. Friday afternoons are reserved for friendly open roll-ups.

The club offers members the opportunity to play both competitive and social bowls all year round.

Our Summer outdoor programme runs from April to October with League, County and Internal competitions and the opportunity to play matches against our many visiting tourist sides.

Our Winter indoor Short Mat programme runs from October to March with League and internal competitions.
