Summer on the Green

Our outdoor season runs from April through to September, when the green enjoys its well‑earned rest and repair ready for the following year.

During these sunny months, the club comes alive with a full calendar of matches and events.

We host league fixtures, open competitions, county sides and, of course, our much‑loved touring teams who travel from across the country to enjoy bowls in the Bay. There’s nothing quite like the atmosphere of a summer afternoon on the green, with friendly rivalry, good company and the backdrop of Torquay’s beautiful coastline.

Summer is always a busy and vibrant time for the club. We’re delighted to welcome back our local businesses, visiting clubs and loyal sponsors who support us throughout the season. Their involvement helps make our summer programme some of the most enjoyable and sociable in Devon!
